A look at some of our members' experiences

MEMBERS ON HOLIDAY IN Gran Canaria Members Jon and Michelle sent us these pictures of a local club which is much the same as 4181 according to a local English ex-pat in the group, however the mountain roads are treacherous, not like the Island roads we are use to! "the main hazard on the mountin roads is falling rocks (closely followed by Canarian drivers!) and the very narrow roads. We had intended to hire a bike out there, but fortunately we checked out the roads first! They are certainly a challenge for a touring bike, though not a problem for a more nimble trail bike. According to the locals we met, Canarians are not 'bike friendly' drivers either... but then what's new?"
MEMBER WITH A PUNCTURE but it had a silver lining!
Message from members Michel and Jan. “This is the pub Jan and I stopped at on our big ride last year when we ended up with the puncture. It’s at Tangley just outside Andover, the food is good and it’s a very nice place to stop if you’re planning any ride in that
direction”.
