SMUGGLERS HAVEN VENTNOR
Route: TR out of Car P ark - Rookley at the end of the Village just past the nursery TL towards Gatcombe TJ - TR towards Carisbrooke - R/Abt 2nd exit - MR/Abt - TL up Carisbrooke High St - MR/Abt - TL towards Shorwell - MR/Abt - TL and after a few hundred yards bear Right- after a mile or 2 TR towards the Military Road - TJ - TL to Niton follow the one way system turning right towards Ventnor - past Church Street Motorcycles Traffic Lights taking the second turning on the left - TJ - TR towards Shanklin just past the Haven turn into the (Public) Car Park on the right. Do not use the Haven Car Park

A much better day than we have had over the last few weeks, sunshine with some cloud and a cold wind. 19 Bike joined us this month, which, when you consider it was Father's Day is a good number. As normal a few new members joined us for their first run with the club, and as normal our regulars made them very welcome, it a nice run today which included some little used back roads, finishing at the Smugglers Haven which overlooks the sea, a really nice hidden spot on the Island. One of our regular members Jean Cotton has passed her test, so many congratulations to her, well done. The test is a now a very protracted exercise, which includes off road training on the mainland as well as the Island. Many thanks to Richard Cotton - Tail End Charlie
